In Sirrus Mobile, creating an input recommendation, i.e. a fertilizer or crop protection application couldn't be easier. Crop protection jobs can be created and completed from any level in the Grower, Farm or Field (GFF) structure. If you plan to make a multi-field application, this can be achieved from the Grower or the Farm level.
Steps to begin a Crop Protection Recommendation
From the dashboard of the Grower, Farm or Field level, tap the orange plus sign. Select the Crop Protection and Fertilizer tile from the activities list. If you are creating the CP recommendation from the Grower or Farm level, you will be able to select multiple fields. If you are in the Field level, the CP recommendation will be created for the current field you are viewing.
On the next screen, you will need to select the product type for the application. You have several different input types to choose from. Examples of product types available to choose from are:
Insecticides
Custom fertilizer
Nitrogen Stabilizer
Herbicides
Depending on which product type you are creating the recommendation for, Sirrus Mobile will give you access to a full range of corresponding products to choose from. If you know you will be creating recommendations for a select few products, it would be beneficial to create a Short List (picklist) for those products that will be utilized more often.
Continue filling in the information or data fields for the recommendation. When you have the required information completed for your internal records, tap the Save button in the top right.
On the Save page you have the option to enter in a name for the input application, then select the correct season and work state for the crop protection application.
Creating a Crop Protection Recommendation from the Farm Level (Multi-Field)
For improved efficiency in creating a crop protection rec for a Grower, you can choose to generate a recommendation for multiple fields or all of the fields for a particular farm simultaneously.
From the Farm view, tap the + sign and select the Crop Protection and Fertilizer activity tile. Choose the work state for the application activity.
Selecting Fields
You have two options in Sirrus to select multiple fields for the order:
1) Tap on the fields listed on the devices screen, the selected fields will be designated with an orange checkmark.
2) On the left side of the screen, tap on the Map View slider to select the fields on the interactive map. Check to make sure the Multi Select button is highlighted blue to enable you to make multiple field selections at once. Selected fields will be highlighted in orange.
When the fields have been selected, you are now ready to enter in the Product details for the application. Select the Product Type (Herbicide, Insecticide, etc.), choose from the list of Products. If you do not see a Product in your shortlist, tap the plus (+) button to access the thousands of crop protection products available for use in Sirrus.
Continue to fill in all of the applicable data fields for the crop protection application. If you would like to add additional products to the order simply tap the Add Another button in orange and repeat the steps above.
After you have all of the information entered in for the application, tap Save in the top right. Enter in a Name for the order as well as any Notes you would like to keep record of.
Tool tip: The Adjust Save Information for Single Fields button, breaks the activity out by field. This allows you to include any information relevant for an individual field.
Tap Save after the application Name, Notes, Season and Dates have been defined.
You have now completed the Crop Protection rec for multiple fields, to view the newly created recommendations for the fields, return to the dashboard and the recommendations will be listed by each field under the Issued Recommendations tile.
