Steps to create a Fertilizer Job in Sirrus Mobile
To create a fertilizer job or recommendation, navigate to the farm or field you will be creating the activity for. To start the activity, tap the orange (+) button and select the Crop Protection & Fertilizer tile. Select the correct work state for the activity, in most situations for applications Recommendation or Work Order will be the most used options.
If starting the activity from the Farm level, you will be able to select multiple fields at once. The subsequent recommendation will be tied to all of the fields individually but will be created in a batch. From the Field level, once you select the CP & Fertilizer activity tile, you'll be directed to the product information screen that you see below.
Here you will be able to select from different product types, for this article we will be focusing on fertilizer inputs.
Once you select fertilizer as the Product Type, tap in the Product field and choose from the 3500+ fertilizer products available in Sirrus through agX.
Continue to enter in a value for every data field that is applicable to your business. Another tool available to you here is access to labels through CDMS for quick reference when creating applications.
Editors Tip: A cool feature available in Sirrus Mobile is the ability to Customize Job Collection. If there are attributes that your business doesn't utilize when creating jobs, those can be "turned off" so to speak. So they won't be displayed when completing an event. The three dots in the top right of the image below is where you can access this feature.
Another option available to add more products to the fertilizer recommendation by tapping the Add Another button in orange.
When you have completed all of the relevant information fields for the fertilizer job, tap Save in the top right. On the Save page, give the activity a name, select the correct season, enter in any relevant notes and double check the work state, then finally Save completely.
Tank Mixes in Sirrus mobile
Setting up Tank Mixes ahead of time will increase efficiency when generating Crop Protection recommendations in Sirrus throughout the season. Not only will Tank Mixes improve your workday efficiency, but getting the order of the mix right for your growers will benefit their crops and their effectiveness of the application.
When generating recs for a single or multiple fields in Sirrus, it can be tedious at times to get the products entered in a correct and accurate way. Luckily by using the Tank Mix feature this process can be streamlined.
From the Account level in Sirrus mobile, tap on the Add New Tank Mix tile.
The screen will display all saved Tank Mixes for your location. Tap on the Add New Tank Mix button at the bottom of the window to create a new customized Tank Mix.
Give your tank mix a name and write in a description for the mix for quick reference, then tap on the Add Carrier button. Select the carrier to use in this mix, if the carrier needed is not listed, tap the + sign to access the complete list and add the desired selection to your Short List.
With the carrier defined, it's now time to add the products into the mix. Tap the Add product button and make your selections for each data field: Product type, Product Rate and Registration Code. Tap add to move this product into your tank mix. Continue adding products to your new Tank Mix as needed.
Again, if a product is not showing for you, tap the + button to access the Product list. To make it even easier, use the search bar and type in your product to quickly find it in the list.
Lastly, you will want to make sure the order of your mix is correct. To re-order the products, tap and hold the three horizontal lines next to the product and drag it to the correct position in the Tank Mix order. You will also want to be sure to enter the Total App Rate (GPA) for the mix, then tap Save.
The newly created Tank Mix will now show up in the list for your account.
