What is a recommendation?

A recommendation is a suggested application based off data obtained from the field in hopes of optimizing growth potential. Recommendations are a great option for pre-planning applications beneficial for the field and crop development.

FarmRite Recommendations

FarmRite recommendations can be received based off the results of a soil sampling event and/or yield data determining areas in a field that are deficient of specific nutrient(s).

Equations custom tailored by users and our FarmRite team are used to generate the potential for maximum yield harvested determined by field data of current or past

seasons.

CEI Recommendations

Crop Establishment and Inputs (otherwise known as CEI) are applications recommended to be applied to aid in the growth of crops in various stages of development or rid of problematic instances. These include but are not limited to fertilizer, herbicide, and pesticide recommendations. While this is not yet a functionality within Sirrus Web-users can create these recommendations in Sirrus Mobile and later view in Sirrus Web under the Jobs section.

Planting Recommendations

Planting events allow for user to pre-plan application of seed and include the rate and variety which they would like on a field. Sirrus web currently only allows for the creation and edit of planned straight rate planting events. However, users can access more options to planting events in Sirrus mobile. To view these options, check out this article about planting events in mobile here.

What is a planned straight rate planting event?

Planned straight rate planting consists of a single seed variety and rate applied to a field in one application. Details such as crop, seed company, variety/hybrid, etc. will be visible on these events.

What's Next?

Once recommendations are saved, they can then later be fulfilled within Sirrus Mobile as an application if action has been applied to the field and/or crop(s) or the recommendation can be exported out to be shared with growers or other users.

At this time, Sirrus Web only allows for the export of FarmRite and Planned planting operations. Users can access more operation exports within Sirrus Mobile. Click this link to learn about exporting data in Sirrus mobile.
